The development of new hostels at IIT Patna is currently being planned by the institution. Artificial Intelligence (AI) education received budgetary funding of ₹500 crore from the government. The AI Excellence Centres represent the core initiative which will fund three facilities centered on nurturing innovation across technology domains.
The 2025 Education Budget includes plans to raise medical seat availability through new establishments
Students pursuing medical studies will receive numerous favorable additions through this budget allocation. The addition of 75,000 medical seats along with plans to establish 10,000 new medical seats will take place in the next five years. The central government starts the ‘Bhartiya Bhasha Pustak Yojana’ which establishes digital access to books in Indian languages. The program strives to supply scholarly and high-quality literature to students and educational researchers through content in their native languages.
Budget 2025: Other Key Announcements
- 10,000 Fellowships for Technical Research: Technology research fellowships worth 10,000 positions will receive funding to operate at IITs and IISc during the following five-year period.
- Broadband Connectivity for all Government Secondary Schools: The Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman declared that government secondary schools and primary health centers across the country would receive broadband connection.
- Five National Centres for Skill Development: The Finance Minister declared his support for creating five national centers to develop skills with global expert involvement.
