The National Testing Agency or NTA released the schedule of JEE Main 2025. The application portal for JEE Main has been released for the students who would be eligible. This official update is available at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The examination is to be conducted in two sessions as it would make access easier for the students. The first session is scheduled from 22 January to 31 January, 2025, and the second session will be in April 2025. Each candidate can attend either one or both sessions.
Key Dates and Deadlines
November 22, 2024; in addition, for Session I, the applicants are instructed to submit the applications together with fee payment on November 22, 2024, at or before 11:50 pm. This makes sure a student completes an application timeously and ensures effective studies. NTA bifurcation of examination dates avails an opportunity to student students to reassess for the performance for Session-I and hence might increase grades for Session II, depending on the result.
Exam pattern and the language used
The two papers of JEE Main include:
Paper 1: Targets students applying for B.E./B.Tech programs and acts as a qualifier for JEE Advanced.
Paper 2: For admission to the B.Arch and B.Planning courses. This will be available in 13 languages-English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu-which will bring accessibility for students from diversified linguistic backgrounds.
Exam Schedule and Format
Every session shall be scheduled according to a two-shift program to accommodate the big number of applicants.
- Morning shift: 9.00 AM to 12.00 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
In each paper, there would be multiple choice and numerically based questions on Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. The students would answer very carefully because negative marking is there, meaning wrong answers fetch scoring disadvantages.
